The ‘Try Tennis’ event held on August 4th, organized by Tennis Alberta in partnership with the Edmonton Junior Tennis Society, proved to be an exceptional success in introducing kids to the world of tennis. The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of young participants eager to pick up a racquet and experience the thrill of the sport. Under the guidance of experienced, amazing EJTS coaching staff, children of all skill levels had the opportunity to learn the basics of tennis while enjoying a fun and engaging atmosphere.
The collaboration between Tennis Alberta and the Edmonton Junior Tennis Society demonstrated their commitment to promoting youth involvement in sports and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity. The event’s success was evident in the smiles and laughter that echoed across the courts as children honed their skills and experienced the joy of rallying back and forth. ‘Try Tennis’ not only provided a fantastic avenue for youngsters to discover a new sport but also highlighted the importance of community partnerships in creating meaningful opportunities for youth development. This event stands as a testament to the positive impact that collaborative initiatives can have on inspiring the next generation to lead active and healthy lives through the enjoyment of sports like tennis.
