A 77,000 sq-ft space filled with 32 red ball courts, 3 official sized tennis courts, and a photo booth, is what TENNISFest 2023 was all about. A free event allowing everyone to experience the game of tennis!
“With Explore Edmonton providing an exhibit hall at the EXPO Centre rent free, EJTS partnered with Tennis Edmonton Association and Tennis Alberta to design and implement the event, with strong support from Tennis Canada and the active involvement of a number of Edmonton region tennis clubs. The core project team involved volunteer members of the TEA and EJTS boards as well as the EJTS team Katarina and Jared and the summer student, Samantha from TE. The coaching team was drawn primarily from EJTS’s amazing group of regular coaches, supplemented by some volunteers. As always, we acknowledge that our coaches are the core of our product!”

Ryan Schroffel, RG Tennis Manager gives us his comments on the event: “It was a pleasure for the Royal Glenora Club to be a part of the 2023 TENNISfest. It was an incredible event bringing together community leaders, coaches, and clubs to work with over 600 participants. The Edmonton Junior Tennis Society plays an integral role in the development of youth sports in Edmonton through initiatives like this.”
