On Saturday, August 24 we held our last tournament of the summer season at Greenfield Tennis Club. The Classic Doubles Tournament had a great turnout of over 47 players in attendance and not to mention all their families and friends who came to support their loved ones. Players of all skill levels and ages were matched against each other in invigorating games, giving old players a new experience and new players a progressive challenge. Despite the overnight rain and chilly start, the courts at Greenfield were in great condition to get our tournament started. Players soon beat the windchill by participating in the bracing matches, there were plenty of interesting rallies between opponents with a lot of players being of varying ages and also of varying skill level between partners.
We had a variety of prizes for the winners and consolation prizes, but in addition, we had quite the spread thanks to Cố Đô Huế for catering the tournament! Taking a break from the matches, participants were invited to play a group game led by our volunteers, afterwards enjoying the delicious food brought for them. It was a great way to celebrate the end of summer season and set us up for a fantastic fall!
