Season Start Flex Doubles Tournament

On May 18th, we commenced the 2024 outdoor tennis season with the one-day event SEASON START FLEX DOUBLES TOURNAMENT. Open to adults and all levels of players to participate in an amicable Doubles competition with BBQ to go along with it. The merged non-profit organizations; EJTS and TEA, now called EDMONTON TENNIS COMMUNITY, hosted this spirited tournament event at the Capilano Tennis Club with forty players coming out to partake in the sportsmanship between fellow tennis players. The lively atmosphere helped manifest an environment where everyone came together and formed bonds over their shared love of tennis.
The recently combined organizations of the EDMONTON TENNIS COMMUNITY have throughout the years consistently given people a chance to form genuine connections between players and communities alike. Tennis is a perfect sport for introducing people in a new and fun way, breaking down the social barriers that first exist between future friends meeting for the first time.
This event wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers and we extend a huge thank you to Roland, Justin, Bobby, and many others, whose diligent and dedicated work guaranteed the exceptional fulfillment of the tournament. It’s amazing to have people who are a part of the Edmonton Tennis Community exhibit an unwavering commitment to helping us reach new heights of success. Also a special thank you for the Capilano Tennis Club allowing us to host the tournament on your courts!
